I recently returned from NZ where I went home for a short holiday,
during my travels I thought things through and I've decided that I'm not going to color comics anymore.
It's been a few years now since I set out to make it as a colorist in the comic world, I had a set of goals I wanted to achieve and I have completed them all as of last month when I reached over a thousand pieces of published work, about 800 or those pieces being comic book work all published in the US, the other 200 or so pieces were done for various other projects including an animated music video and a trading card game.
The other goals I had were,
in order from smallest to greatest,
1. Get a pin-up published
2. Get a book published
3. Get a series published
4. Do a Transformers cover
5. Do a Transformers book
6. Get published by Marvel
7. Do a book for Marvel
8. Do a series for Marvel
9. Work on an A class Marvel character
10. Get 1000 pieces published
So now that I've got to where I wanted to I really feel like I need to move on,
sure I could keep working on more books and get a name for myself or whatever in comics, but I honestly can't say thats what I want to do with my life and career.
The next thing I want to do is get into the TV and Film industry, after working on the music video for Kora I really got a feeling like I could do more than I was and now its all I can think about.
My brother
I will also be making a matte painting portfolio over the next couple of months which I will post here too.
So thanks to everyone that has supported me through my comic career the last few years and I wish all my colorist friends much success with their work.
I am still available to do stuff like pin-ups and things but please no book offers,
God has blessed me greatly by giving me this gift and I feel that he is pointing me in a new direction so I can share it with more people, so with that in mind I am starting anew.
Thanks again to everyone for all your kinda words and crits you have all seriously helped me to get this far and I know you all still have alot more to teach me as we all progress in our artistic growth, cheers!

I'm still workin on mine at the moment but its so great to see you still movin on and having bigger goals. Its gonna be great, im sure
Might I suggest, if your looking to get into the film industry, sending your portfolio down to Weta Workshop..... a mate of mine's brother did just that and now he is the inventor of the "Raygun", aswell as designing what King Kong and many of the giant bugs look like, among other things
